How many broken hearts do you need before you can finish a broken-hearted song? In this case, it took me three broken hearts and three years before I finally completed the song now called Heart In A Million Pieces.

This king has given up his crown
No throne, all my tears have worn it down
I’m pacing these halls until I tire
A prisoner to all that I desire

So well said, Peter, I couldn’t agree more! Thank you for your insight, love what you’ve added here
Great podcast again, Nate. I look at the broken heart from the point of risk. When one risks to make those connections with love, one must always accept that the connection can break. Accepting that the connections can come and go, and while they exist we love them, is I think what makes us better humans.
