“How the heck does a broken heart, a sauna and a psychic have anything in common,” you ask? My friend, you are in the right place!

Welcome back to Naked with Nate, a new podcast with tales and tools for the beautifully broken, giving you the invitation you’ve been waiting for to just be yourself, cos you’re the only one who can!

This week is especially exciting for me because it’s the first episode which was recorded live to an online ‘studio’ audience! I had so much fun chatting with everyone, showing photos related to the episode, answering questions, etc! One of the viewers was even listening from his bath in Norway, which I thought was amazing (thanks, Andy)!

NB: watch the full live video, which includes photos of the woman I talk about, and a bunch more stuff not shared in the final episode.

Anyways, I won’t keep you, go ahead and listen to the episode, let me know what you think in the comments below and I’ll see you back here next week for more!

Quick Note: this podcast is new and it would be a big help if you could subscribe on iTunes and leave a review because then iTunes knows to show the podcast to more people!

Links and Things

The Rumi poem I talk about in the episode:

One dervish to another, What was your vision
of God’s presence? I haven’t seen anything,
but for the sake of conversation, I will tell you a story.

The presence is there in front of me.
A fire on the left, a lovely stream on the right.
One group walks toward the fire, into the fire.
Another toward the sweet flowing water.
No one knows which are blessed and which not.
Whoever walks into the fire appears suddenly
in the stream. A head goes underwater
and that head pokes out of the fire.

Most people guard against going into the fire
and so end up in it. Those who love the water
of pleasure and make it their devotion
are cheated with this reversal. The trickery goes further.
The voice of the fire tells the truth, saying
I am not fire. I am fountainhead.
Come into me and don’t mind the sparks.

If you are a friend of the presence,
fire is your water.

It’s your turn, dear listener
