This is a hope-full rather than hope-less episode, so do listen even though it may seem to be a less-than-inviting topic. It’s important we open this conversation up because I am certain that you know someone going through mental health challenges (maybe it’s you?).
We need to be proactive and compassionate with ourselves and the ones we love because hiding this in the shadows in only a path to further pain.

Beautiful as always. You asked for our own experiences, so I will say in general while suffering from depression all sensory input was dulled in my brain, except for the extremes. Luckily, I did not do anything seriously harmful to myself or others. I could stand in the midst of a joyful situation, and none of it would penetrate the surface.
Oh man, I so feel you Peter! It’s the weirdest sensation. To be surrounded by beauty and to feel only fractions of the fullness of it. Thank you for sharing ?
